On Saturday 7th June 2025 MAN&BOY are coming together for ‘A ride into Battle’, a cycle challenge to Ashburnham Place, Battle, the home of MAN&BOY’s summer camps.
MAN&BOY have been championing male role models and supporting boys, men and their families for a decade. The national debate is catching up - Sir Gareth Southgate talking about boys needing role models, the ground breaking TV Drama Adolescence and the Centre for Social Justice’s new report ‘Lost Boys’ are making waves. The 7th June cycle event is a ‘Ride into Battle’ as we make MAN&BOY’s voice heard in the national debate on the unique challenges that boys face and support them in the battle ahead.
The cycle ride has multiple start points between Kingston (MAN&BOY HQ) and the beautiful Ashburnham Place. Participants can cycle the full 70 miles, or meet us at various point along the way, coming together for the finale as we cycle/ walk the last few miles into camp. We will then be treated to a complimentary cream tea, served in the stunning Ashburnham Place orangery, and a tour of the substantial grounds, designed by none other than Capability Brown, showing you where the M&B tents are erected and where our activities take place. For those keen to make the most of the day, we will enjoy a pub dinner together before heading home.
Here at MAN&BOY we believe when positive role models are actively present; children, families, and communities thrive. We work alongside families, schools, and other referral organisations to support boys aged between 8 and 12 by providing opportunities for men and boys to have fun and take part in adventurous activities. Whether it's through camps, courses, or community events, we strive to create environments where trust and confidence can flourish.
As charities are increasingly starved of funds, we will join together to ‘Ride into Battle’ to create a brighter future for boys and their families. Together, we can make a meaningful impact that lasts a lifetime.
