“Agreeing on a problem is easy. Consensus on the solution is notoriously less so.”
That’s exactly what the The Centre for Social Justice sets out to tackle in its latest Boyhood report, offering both larger, structural recommendations and more subtle, practical changes. These solutions have been shaped through engagement with organisations like MAN&BOY, helping the CSJ understand what is already working on the ground.
Following the ground-breaking Lost Boys report, which exposed the urgent challenges facing boys across the UK, the Boyhood report moves the conversation from diagnosis to action, setting out a thoughtful, evidence-based roadmap for change at home, at school, and behind screens.
We’re proud to have contributed to this important work, to have been acknowledged by the CSJ and to be part of the solution. Our programmes directly support the report’s “in home” recommendations, strengthening family relationships and building trust, and they also contribute indirectly to the “in school” solutions by improving boys’ wellbeing, confidence, and sense of belonging.
A huge thank you to the Centre for Social Justice for bringing this issue, and now these potential solutions, to the forefront of national attention. Their leadership is helping to drive a much-needed shift in how we understand and support boys’ development across the country.

The recommendations from the new Boyhood report reflect the findings of the March 2025 Lost Boys: State of the Nation Report which revealed a crisis facing boys and young men in Britain.
