This week, our Executive Director Jim Clements had the privilege of meeting with the Men & Boys Lead from the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office at Westminster to discuss the work we are doing at MAN&BOY and the growing importance of supporting boys and young men through stronger family relationships.
It was an encouraging and productive conversation, giving us the opportunity to share what makes MAN&BOY's approach unique. Our focus is on strengthening the relationships between boys and the positive male role models within their own family unit, because when those relationships thrive, families and communities are stronger.
We also discussed the importance of collaboration between organisations like ours and Local Authorities in creating meaningful, lasting impact. We were proud to highlight our commissioned work with Surrey County Council, which demonstrates how targeted partnership work can provide real support for families and serve as a model for other Local Authorities across the country.
We’re grateful for the open and thoughtful discussion and encouraged by the shared recognition of the need to invest in boys, young men and families. Conversations like these are an important step forward, and we’re excited to continue building momentum in this vital space.
