This Universal Father’s Week, we celebrate every man who helps a child thrive.

Across our communities, there are countless men making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people every day. They may be fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, mentors, coaches, teachers, foster carers, neighbours, friends or volunteers. What they share is a commitment to supporting, encouraging and guiding the next generation.

At MAN&BOY, we see first-hand the impact that positive male role models can have. A listening ear, a word of encouragement, a shared activity or simply being consistently present can help a young person develop confidence, resilience and a stronger sense of self-worth. These moments may seem small, but they can leave a lasting impression that shapes a young person's future.

Universal Father’s Week is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the many ways men contribute to the wellbeing of children and families. Positive male role models help young people feel valued, supported and connected. They demonstrate kindness, respect, responsibility and compassion, showing through their actions what healthy relationships and positive masculinity can look like.

This week, we would like to thank all of our MAN&BOY role models. Your time, commitment and dedication help create opportunities for boys and young men to grow, learn and flourish. Whether you volunteer regularly, support a young person through mentoring, or simply make the effort to be present and engaged, your contribution matters.

We also recognise the many men beyond our organisation who quietly make a difference every day. The coach who encourages a child to keep going, the teacher who takes time to listen, the grandfather who shares his wisdom, the neighbour who offers support, and the mentor who helps a young person believe in themselves. Together, these positive influences help build stronger individuals, stronger families and stronger communities.

As we mark Universal Father’s Week from 15–21 June 2026, we celebrate and thank every man who is helping a child thrive.
