Dear Friends and Supporters
We wanted to bring you up-to-date with what is happening at Man&Boy. Obviously the last few weeks have been a challenge for a charity such as ours that utilises the great outdoors and brings families together from different parts of London and the South. We were able to run our first Spring Connect Camp successfully and eleven families attended but sadly we had to postpone the second which coincided with the stay at home advice.
However, we are now able to share some great news. Our staff and volunteer team have been working hard to bring together an outcome-based, fun programme online, using social media and video conferencing tools for families of boys aged 9-12 at referral and a significant male role model from within the family. This will allow us to support new and existing participants with online activities that encompass all things Man&Boy.
'Connect-In Online' programme
The support programme consists of weekly fun activities that build relationships between boys and the significant man who supports them, it will also build peer support for men with facilitation from our highly skilled team. We are staying in touch with referrers who can identify new families that may benefit from our on-line programme and when we are able to recommence our more usual activities and courses, they will be invited to take part. Over the next few weeks will keep you posted about this new and exciting venture and you can keep in touch via our social media pages – now is a good time to start following us.
