Adventure Camping Weekends

The camping weekends are designed for boys in year 5, 6 & 7 and dads (or a significant adult male) to spend quality time together, building a positive relationship. The weekend is packed with fun and activities including climbing, raft building and kayaking.

Held during the Summer and Winter months, they are designed to cater for up to 20 participants, Man & Boy provide transport to the camp-site and all the camping equipment necessary for the weekend. (Log-cabins are used in the winter).

There are 3 main activities during the weekend led by a team of outdoor instructors and we encourage participation in all activities as much as you are able to. Food is provided.

Safety is of the utmost importance to the Man & Boy team and precautions have been taken to ensure that the risk of harm or injury occurring to anyone taking part in the weekend is minimised. Please note however that the father/guardian has ultimate responsibility for the safety of his boy.

  • Acting honestly and with integrity
  • Taking personal responsibility
  • Believing in people
  • Enabling others to achieve their full potential
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the winter man & boy camp. It made us realise how life is so busy and that we do not spend enough quality time together enjoying one another’s company as father and son. It has also made us aware we should make more effort at home to take time out to discuss things together. I would strongly recommend the camp to anyone lucky enough to have the opportunity to take part in future man & boy activity weekends away. I hope these comments will help keep man & boy such a successful and fun organisation
